What is an Environment Management Plan?

An Environmental Management Plan consists of three documents: Plan of Occupational Health, Preparedness and Response Plan and Emergency Plan for Solid Waste Management. Depending on the risk level of the activity of the company and the number of workers, the Environmental Management Plan must contain all or some of those documents, prepared by professionals in the field.

Is there a format or template for making plans?

Yes. The Department of Human Environment Protection of the Ministry of Health has issued procedures called 'Guide to the presentation of the Occupational Health Plan' and 'Guide for the presentation of the Emergency Assistance Programme', while in the General Regulations the Law on Waste Management, the format for the 'Program Waste Management by the generators' is established. It is recommended that the plans made in companies adhere and follow these formats.

ECOS is currently in the process of implementing the INTE 01-01-09:2013 Norm for ‘Integrated Management System for Small and Medium Enterprises’.
